In a stage of research, Anzestry would aim to uncover details of your ancestors, their occupations, the places where they lived and the background history to their lives. In order to commence research on your behalf it is important that all the family history information that is presently known is provided as a starting point. Anzestry can then begin research from the last definite piece of information and not duplicate what may already be known from family sources. It is impossible to predict in advance exactly what information may be found as of course much depends on the individual family circumstances, their locality and movements, and the extent of pertinent surviving records. Whilst the focus of the research undertaken by Anzestry is that of the British origins of Australian and New Zealand families, research can also be undertaken in many other European countries as long as the records have survived and are accessible. Of course, not everyone wants to know about their long distant ancestry – many people hope to be able to track down present day members of the family with whom contact has been lost. 	A stage of research takes, on average, about ten weeks to complete. The costs of research can vary depending on how may lines of ancestry you would like traced, the starting point you are able to provide and how far back you are interested in going. It is difficult to predict in advance the specific costs that will be needed as each family is different. However, as a rough guideline, research can begin from as little as $150 and can go to whatever budget you wish to commit to this fascinating project.
